Q: Where can I find updates about the Kennel?

A: We will post any updates on our corresponding Facebook Page, on our Website, or in an email blast through Creekside Animal Clinic.

Q: How much does it cost to board there?

A: This is a multi-part question. We have an a la carte pricing system, like a menu at a restaurant. The boarding charge will be like the “main course” but there will be many “sides” to choose from including: pamper time, cuddle time, extra treats and much more.

Q: When will you start accepting boarding requests?

A: Once we have a hard date for opening and our computer system is up and running, we will start accepting reservation requests. We will start accepting reservations one week prior to our open.

Q: What services do you offer for your guests?

A: We offer a selection of various rooms sizes and a highly customized experience for each guest to best suit their needs and wants. We will soon be coming out with a comprehensive list of services and any prices.

Q: What are the requirements to board at The Retreat?

A: Our canine guests must be up to date on Rabies, Distemper (DHLPP or DHPP), Bordetella(Annually), Canine Influenza, a negative Fecal test (Annually), and parasite prevention. We recommend that our canine guests also have a Lepto vaccine.  Feline guests must be up to date on Rabies, FVRCP, and parasite prevention.

Q: What if I can’t have my pets vaccinated due to medical reasons?

A: Guests who would like to provide titers as opposed to vaccines must be approved by a Creekside Doctor prior to boarding. The Retreat must also receive a written notice of this approval from a veterinarian. Any pet who does not meet our requirements can still board at The Retreat but there will be an upcharge as they will be housed in our quarantine area and will require special care as to best control exposure to our other guests. Owners who have under vaccinated pets will also take any risk onto themselves of their pets contracting any conditions they aren't protected against.

Q: What measures did you put in place to prevent escapes?

A: The facility was built with escapes in mind. All guests will be double leashed when they are being taken out of their room to decrease chances of escape. All exterior fences will be curved on the top to help deter climbers. In the unlikely case of a guest slipping their leash inside the building, they will have to get through three full doors, jump over two Dutch doors, and jump over an exterior gate.

Q: There seems to be a lot on here about dogs, what about my cats?

A: We are happy to house our feline friends. We will have 8 cat condos in our separate cat boarding room. This room will be a little warmer than the rest of the building because we know cats like to be warm and toasty while they nap all day. Each cat condo will also have a window to the outside and will be able to bird watch and see other guests entering the building.

Q: Is there anything coming in the future for the Creekside Family?

A: Why yes there is! The Retreat was built with growth in mind. We will be planning on adding more capacity for both our feline and canine friends, and who knows, possibly guests who can fly and have scales opposed to fur. We are always thinking about the future here, and we will be sure to let everyone in on any new additions in the future.
